DRIFTLESS TROUT

The Driftless region is well known for it’s brown and brook trout fishing. While brook trout are the only true native trout to these waters. Brown trout were introduced in the late 1800s and now call the Driftless area home.

During a typical day you can expect to catch fish from the eight to fifteen-inch mark, occasionally you can see fish over the twenty-inch mark. The season starts on January first for catch and release. The harvest season starts in May during the fishing opener. The season goes until early October. We target these fish with fly rods, typically set up accordingly to conditions and that day’s hatches our goal is to make successful trout fishing accessible to all skill levels so we will tailor the instruction to the things you want to work on, from the basics to the intricate details.
